As Australia democracy had many leaders compared to Nazi Dictatorship just having Adolf Hitler, I will be talking about the prime ministers and government in Australian democracy.
The Prime Minister is the is the most powerful person in Parliament and the leader of the nation. There have been 29 Prime Minister since Federation. The main tasks they do are:
First prime minister, Edmund Barton

The first prime minister of Australia was Edmund Barton who ran for the Perfectionist Party from 1901 to 1903. The two top parties at the time was the Perfectionist Party and Free Trade Party, that are defunct. Those parties are e two main parties currently, Labour and Liberal become more prominent in 1940s. There have been 29 Prime Minister since Federation and the current prime minister is Malcolm Turnbull. Throughout the last few decades, prime ministers had change laws about immigration, finance and mining, spent longer time in term and most are prime minsters have been conservative, having it developed from John Howard.
The House of Representatives is one of the two houses of Australia’s Commonwealth Parliament which is also known as the lower house. There are 150 members of the House of Representatives, each representing a state or territory of Australia. It is the house where the government is formed and prime minister is elected. Members are elected for a 3 year term, however there is no fixed limitation. To elect a prime minister, preferential voting is used and the winner is the candidate that gets 50% plus 1 vote .
